This infrared is bent towards the earth by our atmosphere, and as the Sun continues to move below the horizon, the wavelength of this infrared becomes longer until it  disappears  altogether.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA sensor that is optimised to infrared in this waveband will continue to form an image well after cheap sensors fail. These types of sensors are typically used for high-end applications and so have a higher cost.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePulsar’s patented SumLight adaptive light amplification further enhances the image in extreme low light. A fast f1.0 precision ground and fully multi-coated objective lens compliments the high performance sensor.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn total darkness, the NIR sensor requires an Infrared Illuminator to form an image.
